윤영대 교수는 자연과학대학 생명과학전공 소속 교수로 면역학 분야 연구의 권위자다. 미국 미시간주립대에서 박사학위를 받았으며, 하바드 의과대학에서 박사후 연구과정을 거쳤다. 주로 T/B임파구의 활성화, Memory T/B 세포의 생성 및 유지 과정의 분자적인 기작 연구를 진행하고 있다. 현재까지 60여편의 논문을 <Journal of Experimental Medicine>, <Blood Journal> 등 면역학 연구분야의 저명학술지에 발표하였다. 대한면역학회 회장 및 분자세포생물학회 부회장을 역임하였으며, 현재 과학기술부 우수연구센터인 세포항성성 연구센터의 센터장으로 2012년부터 7년간 약 100억원의 정부연구비를 지원받아 센터 연구를 진행하고 있다.
