김정윤 교수는 뇌융합과학연구원 소속 교수이며 스크랜튼대학 뇌인지과학과 및 의학과 겸임교수이다. 서울대학교 의과대학에서 의학사와 의학박사 학위를 받았으며 재활의학을 전공하였다. 서울대학교병원 수련의, 전공의, 전임의를 거쳐 국립재활원 전문의 및 단국대학교병원에서 임상조교수로 재직하였고 University of Utah Brain Institute에서 박사후연구원을 지냈다. 주요 연구 분야는 경두개자기자극(TMS), 경두개직류자극(tDCS) 등 최신 비침습적 뇌 자극법을 활용한 뇌 기능 회복 및 작동 원리를 규명하기 위한 연구이며, 현재까지 약 50여 편의 논문을 <Nature Communications> 을 포함한 저명한 국제학술지에 발표하였다.
