Develop AI training programs and share examples and know-how with fellow teachers
The Future Education Research Institute (Director Prof. Jeong Jeong-young) successfully hosted the 'AI Teacher's Lab Performance Festival' at NAVER Partner Square Yeoksam on Wednesday, February 15. Teacher’s Lab is a program hosted by NAVER CONNECT Foundation and organized by Ewha Future Education Research Institute, and is a mid-to-long-term project that ran for about eight months from Jul 11, 2022, to Feb 28, 2023.
The festival was to share the results of the Teacher’s Lab's work and wrap up its activities. The event consisted of a presentation of the results of the Teacher’s Lab and an award ceremony for outstanding achievements, and in particular, it provided an opportunity for teachers to share their know-how in AI education and to network with each other so that they can continue their close exchanges after the activity.
The core value of the Teacher’s Lab program is to develop AI education programs, share examples and know-how with fellow teachers, and form a community that grows together. A total of 20 teacher research associations selected from across the country were provided with programs such as AI education content development, expert mentoring and mutual feedback, and teacher training, and the programs developed by the teachers were made publicly available through Teacher’s Lab Naver Cafe (https://cafe.naver.com/teacherslab) so that anyone can use them freely.
"Through this project, we were able to discover the potential of Teacher’s Lab and its future development," said Jeong Jeong-young, head of the Future Education Research Institute, adding, "If we are not satisfied with this achievement and continue to spread it in the field, we will be able to significantly grow the AI education capabilities of teachers and contribute to the development of AI education in Korea.”
