School of Nursing Hosts 2022 Nursing Medal Ceremony

The College of Nursing (Dean Kang Yoon-hee) held the '2022 Nursing Medal Ceremony' on February 20 (Mon), at Isambong Hall. To celebrate the 65th graduating class as they take their first steps as nurses, more than 130 people attended, including parents, faculty members from the School of Nursing, including Professor Lee Kwang Ok, Lee Jae Lee, Lee Kwang Ja, and Professor Emeritus Neulim Shin, and officers from the Ewha Nursing Alumni Association.

The Nursing Medal Ceremony is a time for graduating seniors to take the Nightingale Oath, pledging their love and dedication to patients and reaffirming their commitment to the nursing profession. The ceremony was moderated by Vice President Kim Seok-sun, followed by congratulatory remarks from Dean Kang Yoon-hee, President Shin Neulim of the Korean Nursing Association, and Ewha Womans University Nursing Alumni Association President Byun Eun-kyung, followed by the academic report, medal presentation, nightingale oath, and award presentation.


Dean Kang Yoon-hee said, "I would like to congratulate the 65th graduating class on their graduation from Ewha Womans University, who have faithfully developed their skills and competencies as professional nurses through four years of nursing education," adding, "I hope that they will grow into nurses who will make the history of 'Ewha Womans Nursing' with an enterprising spirit of adventure and preparation.” Later, professors from the School of Nursing awarded the students with medals to recognize their achievements.


간호대학, 2022학년도 간호메달수여식 개최The College of Nursing, the first in Korea to launch a four-year bachelor's program in 1955, has been leading the way in nursing education in Korea, establishing a major in global health nursing in 2014 and obtaining accreditation from the Korean Nursing Education Evaluation Agency in 2022. In addition, the school has graduated a total of 3,926 bachelor of science in nursing, including 76 graduates this year, leading the way in training professional nurses.
