in AI-driven computer graphics and strengthened collaborative research networks

‘AsiaGraphics Intelligent Graphics Workshop 2026’ 개최The AsiaGraphics (AG) Intelligent Graphics Workshop 2026 was successfully held on April 9, 2026, in Seoul, South Korea. The symposium was jointly organized by the Asia Graphics Association(ASIAGRAPHICS) and the Korean Computer Graphics Society, bringing together emerging scholars and leading researchers in computer graphics across Asia (https://www.asiagraphics.org/asiagraphics-workshop-on-intelligent-graphics-at-korea).

The event was chaired by Professor Young J. Kim of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Ewha Womans University, who also serves as the chair of the AsiaGraphics Association. Under his leadership, the workshop provided a dynamic platform for academic exchange and collaboration in the rapidly evolving field of intelligent graphics. The workshop was supported by the Ewha Simulated Reality Research Center (ITRC) and the Ewha G-LAMP Project as key contributing sponsors. The involvement of Ewha ITRC and Ewha G-LAMP played a central role in enabling the successful organization of this international academic event.

A total of 27 participants attended the workshop, including 14 invited speakers who presented their latest research. Among them, Professor Daeun Song from the Department of Artificial Intelligence at Ewha Womans University delivered a  presentation. The workshop was organized into four sessions, combining technical presentations with networking opportunities during lunch, dinner, and snack breaks. These sessions provided a balanced environment for both academic exchange and informal discussions. Participants from Japan, Hong Kong, China, and South Korea shared cutting-edge advancements in areas such as visual media generation, geometric computation, rendering, computational imaging, and intelligent design and manufacturing.

The symposium aimed to promote collaboration and facilitate knowledge exchange among young researchers in the Asian graphics community. In particular, it focused on supporting scholars who obtained their doctoral degrees within the past 10 years, providing them with a platform to share academic ideas, learn from one another, and establish long-term professional collaborations. The event also strengthened connections across the Asia-Pacific graphics community and advanced the field through active academic exchange.

The successful hosting of the AsiaGraphics Workshop on Intelligent Graphics 2026 reflects Ewha Womans University’s continued commitment to academic excellence and global research collaboration. With strong leadership from Professor Young J. Kim and the dedicated support of Ewha ITRC and the Ewha G-LAMP Project, the workshop has set a meaningful precedent for future international academic events.
