On March 31st Friday, the Ewha Industry-University Collaborative Institution (group leader Lee Junseong) signed a business agreement with the Korean SMEs and Startups Agency and KOBACO at the Main Hall. They decided to cooperate in order to overcome the complex crises of small enterprises and to strengthen the competence of local industries.
At the business agreement ceremony this day, the school's Industry-University Collaborative Institution group leader Lee Junseong, Korean SMEs and Startups Agency company support headquarters director Lee Byeongcheol, KOBACO innovation growth headquarters director Kang Seongju, KISTA patent business dissemination headquarters director Han Sanggyu attended.
The four institutions plan to use this agreement to overcome the complex crises of small companies due to the global economic slowdown and the 3-high phenomenon (high interest rate, high price, high exchange rate). They also plan to establish a cooperative system for both the nurturing and competence reinforcement of companies that have a promising future. For the organic support of the industry-university collaboration, commercialization, marketing, and technology area, the Ewha Industry-University Collaborative Institution, Korean SMEs and Startups Agency, KOBACO, and KISTA will carry out the shared task by cooperating in each area.
Specifically, the school's Industry-University Collaborative Institution will not only do a technology transfer of the university’s intellectual property to small companies but also provide the university's resources for the improvement of these companies' ESG business administration capacity. Also, the Korean SMEs and Startups Agency will work at discovering promising small venture businesses in the future-growth industry areas of Intellectual ICT · Bio · Smart Textile and Fashion · Digital Culture Contents etc, and support their policy funds · marketing · training · consulting process. KOBACO will link their support through expanding the recipients for TV advertisements of innovative small companies. KISTA is planning to provide technology-linked patent packages and the basis to apply the intellectual property of public research institutes.
The Industry-University Collaborative Institution group leader Lee Junseong clarified, “In order for our small companies to have an upper hand in the midst of global competitive surroundings, we will support various industry-university collaborative activities with Ewha’s superb intellectual property right, such as joint-research with small companies, technical advice, technical transfer, and investment linking etc. Through this, we will tow in the sustainable growth of small companies and cooperate so they will be able to develop into a universal business.”
