Ewha Christmas Service Held

Ewha has held the first Ewha Christmas Service celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ on December 3rd. 20,000 Ewha students and faculties gathered in the Welch-Ryang auditorium and shared the joy and the gratefulness of Christmas.
The orchestra and the choir of college, dressed in red, green, and white, played and sang 'Oh, Holy Night', 'the Glory of Messiah by Handel', and 'Sleigh Ride'. White snowflakes came down on the stage as the department of dance performed the 'Snowflake Dance(from The Nutcracker)' and made the atmosphere of Christmas.
After the performances, came the time for singing carols together. 36 students dressed in Santa Clause robes gave out presents to students and received a big cheer. Rice cakes provided by the alumni association were given out to everybody who came to the service.
Ewha Christmas Service, which is the first service held to celebrate Christmas in Korea every year, is hosted by Ewha Womans University and the alumni association and has become the 14th this year. The offering gathered during the service is used to support missionaries who are Ewha alumni.
