Ewha Strengthens Campus Networks in Germany

President Lee Bae-Yong visited prestigious universities in major cities in Germany including Berlin and Frankfurt this July. The purpose of the visit was to attract more exchanges through partnerships and strengthen global campus networks with the partner universities in Germany.
President Lee successfully launched a new exchange partnership with Tubingen University. Therefore, Ewha has partnerships with six universities in Germany that includes the University of Göttingen, the Free University of Berlin, Humboldt University, Frankfurt University, and the University of Cologne. This signifies a broader foundation for students and the professors to study and research in the Europe area making Germany the focal-point.

Ewha has expanded the contents of the exchange partnerships and agreed on ▲expanding the number of exchange students up to ten and newly establishing Korean Studies major in the University of Göttingen ▲ increasing exchanges with the Free University of Berlin ▲ a joint research on Women Studies with Humboldt University ▲ a joint research with the Research Center for Women's Studies of Frankfurt University ▲ initiating student exchange programs with Tubingen University.

In addition to expanding exchange programs with the universities, president Lee Bae-Yong gave a special lecture on "The Past, the Present, and the Future of Korean Women" on July 8th at the Free University of Berlin and introduced 'Women in Korean History'. In the lecture, students and professors from Korean Studies participated and expressed deep interest on history of Korea and women in Korea.
The global campus network is a part of 'Global Ewha 2010 Project', which is building Ewha's exclusive knowledge networks with universities in 14 major cities of the world.
