Somi Ahn Associate Professor
Somi Ahn received her Ph.D. from Texas A&M University in 2019 with a dissertation titled Age, Degeneration, and Regeneration in Fin-de-Siecle British Fiction. Her primary research area is the nineteenth-century British novel, with additional interests in women's literature and digital humanities. Her major publications include "The Metropolis and Female Citizenship in Mary Wollstonecraft's Original Stories from Real Life" (2018), "Old Age and Euthanasia in Anthony Trollope's The Fixed Period" (2019), "The Old Woman and the New in Eliza Lynn Linton's The Second Youth of Theodora Desanges" (2020), and "The Wicked Stepmother and the Paradox of Motherhood in George Egerton's "Wedlock"" (2026).
