Dr. Yeomin Yoon is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering at Ewha Womans University, South Korea. Dr. Yoon received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1998 (M.S.) and 2001 (Ph.D.) in USA. He was a Professor at the University of South Carolina in USA (2009-2023), Faculty Research Associate at Arizona State University in USA (2002 through 2003) and a Research Associate at Northwestern University in USA (2003 through 2005). He was employed as a Senior Project Engineer at CH2M (2005 through 2008). His research interests include energy and environmental applications of nanomaterials and drinking water/industrial water/wastewater treatment with a focus on emerging contaminant treatment in membrane, adsorption, and ultrasonic treatment associated with engineered nanomaterials including carbon nanotubes, graphene oxides, metal-organic frameworks, MXenes, and etc. He has published approximately 250 peer reviewed journal articles in internationally recognized journals with an h-index of 79 and total citations of over 24,000 (March 2024).
