Soo-yeon Han, a computer science and engineering major, won the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award at the 14th Toilet Culture Festival on November 16th (Thu). She founded UNIUNI as a student in 2021 to develop Savvy Toilet, one of the safest restroom AI solutions, by analyzing behavioral patterns in the restroom based on non-identifiable data. Savvy Toilet is the first restroom solution using AI technology.
Savvy Toilet uses AI for non-identifiable data analysis to prevent toilet-related deaths and crimes in public restrooms and collect toilet-related big data for improving user experiences. Commended for the innovation of introducing AI technology in the toilet solution, in addition to solving the dilemma of protecting privacy and using data at the same time, Han won the award for her contribution to improving the social safety net and the crime and emergency prevention system,
“UNIUNI adopted the universal design for safety and convenience in places with privacy concerns, and Savvy Toilet is the first such innovation,” said CEO Han. “UNIUNI will not stay complacent about being credited for preventing long-unsolved issues of crime and emergency cases in the restroom, but work harder for more fundamental solutions for safety concerns and management issues of the restroom.”
AI Solution Savvy Toilet is expected to gain attention across the nation amid the increase of spycam and sexual assault cases in public restrooms.

기술 발달로 인한 공중화장실 불법 촬영 및 성범죄가 증가하고 있는 시점에 ‘AI 솔루션 쌔비(savvy) 토일렛’은 전국적으로 각광 받을 것으로 전망되고 있다.
