Ewha’s Student Team Awarded the ‘2023 KDB Entrepreneurship Education Build-Up Program’ Grand Award

At the ‘2023 KDB Entrepreneurship Education Build-Up Program’, supervised by the KDB Foundation and Korea Entrepreneurship Foundation, our school’s student team received the grand award. This team, ‘MuGongDoRi’, is made up of Minji Choi(Department of Dance, entered university in 2018) and Yujin Ok(Division of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering, entered university in 2021).
The KDB Entrepreneurship Education Program supports each college’s company establishment curriculum with the aim to cultivate future talented entrepreneurs and create a culture for entrepreneurship education. In 2023, 15 universities including Ewha was chosen, and our school opened the ‘Start-Up Capstone Design’ subject(responsibility of professor Changlim Ju). With an educator specialized in entrepreneurship as the center, it carried out real-work related education that has to do with discovering customers and verifying hypotheses.
As a program to strengthen company establishment skills, this year’s Entrepreneurship Education Build-Up Program was composed of uncovering customers, marketing research, mentoring, pitching clinic, mini IR etc. Our school’s MuGongDoRi Team(leader Minji Choi, member Yujin Ok) won the grand award with an AI composition program. For producers who spend a lot of time making the artistic pieces they want, the MuGongDoRi Team used a solution to compose music a bit faster and easier as an item. It was evaluated as a much-needed service to music consumers. As a prize of the grand award, the MuGongDoRi Team gained a chance to strengthen their entrepreneurship skills by receiving benefits of a global customer discovery program, regular networking, and continuing follow-up support.
Ewha’s Center for Entrepreneurship is for students who are growing into entrepreneur-type talents. It provides chances to cultivate field experiences and real-work abilities through various entrepreneur education curriculums, mentoring programs, uncovering ideas and providing support to make them into a business, etc. It also has plans to fully support the strengthening of entrepreneurship skills of Ewha students/graduates through a step-by-step entrepreneur support program.
