Professor Hanyoung Ryu's Research Team Got Selected For Research Project by The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy

Professor Hanyoung Ryu's research team from department of content convergence, college of science and industry convergence recently got selected for the research project supported by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. The team is going to focus on carrying out researches about various UX (User Experience) for producing new generation industry for next three to five years.

△ Selected for 'Future Growth Dynamics Project' from '2020 Industrial Technology Innovation Project'
Organized by the Korea Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology (KEIT) under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the '2020 Industrial Technology Innovation Project' focuses on mid-term to long-term large scale projects. The research team was selected for the parts and component industry section for the future growth dynamics project, which aims to create new industries and develop core technologies to create an ecosystem that will become a food item in Korea in the future.
Major research is focused on 'Constructing platform for display innovation process'. They are going to carry out researches regarding stretchable display along with LG Display. Stretchable display is regarded as the next-generation display device. This research aims to contribute to create new industries based on innovative technologies and design the user experience (UX) based on technological development by researching the user experience (UX) of stretchable display. The project will receive a total of 5 billion won (1 billion won per year) in state funds for the next five years.
Selected in the market driven product design development section of "2020 Design Innovation Competency Enhancement Project"
The "2020 Design Innovation Competency Enhancement Project" is a project organized by KEIT under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to support companies and educational research institutes with technology and design competency. This research project is to support design technology and competency development for these organizations and enhance the global competitive edgen.
Professor Ryu's research team was selected for the 'Market driven product design development' category, by supporting the development of high added value products that combine design and future promising technology. This project category supports enhancing global competitiveness and expanding export market.
Professor Ryu's research team, which will receive a total of 1.4 billion won in state funds over the next three years, will build a sharing platform for delivery-storage-product recovery with FMS Korea. Also, by designing the user experience (UX) for innovative products and services which can lead to a more mature lifestyle for environment conservation, the research team is aiming to contribute to the creation of a new eco-system of fresh food delivery.
In relation to this project, Professor Ryu's research team was selected for the "Building a new ecosystem for manufacture industry based on service design" category in 2015, "Design core technology for next generation" category in 2016. Research professors Seungeun Jung and Joohyun Park have continuously co-participated to carry out UX design for new industries.
