EUBS, Ewha University Broadcasting System (Advisor: Professor Park Sung-hee), won the Excellence Award at the 2024 Media Content Contest for People with Disabilities hosted by the Korea Communications Commission and the Korea Communication Media Foundation (KCMF).

This year marked the third contest, held under the theme "Our Stories Through Media Content." The event aimed to encourage the active media participation of individuals with disabilities and improve awareness of disabilities among the general public. The contest received 132 entries across three categories: content created by individuals with disabilities, disability-related content, and short-form content. A total of 13 pieces were selected as the final award-winning works by judges and public evaluations.

EUBS’s winning entry, titled "Be Ready, Be Disabled," focused on the realities faced by individuals with disabilities on university campuses and featured coverage of barrier-free campuses in the UK. The documentary was produced with the support of Ewha Media Center’s Overseas Reporting Dispatch Program by EUBS members Shin Da-won and Cho Se-hyun in 2023. The team traveled to the UK to film advanced examples and conducted interviews with experts at home and abroad, which were included in the video.

The award ceremony took place on Thursday, December 5, at the DMC Hall in Mapo-gu, Seoul. Shin Da-won and Cho Se-hyun, members of EUBS, received the Excellence Award certificate and prize money. Reflecting on the experience, Cho Se-hyun stated, "While creating the documentary, I had the opportunity to rethink barrier-free access from marginalized people’s perspective. Although there were many challenges during the filming period overseas, I am delighted that our efforts and passion for producing the documentary have been recognized."
