Technology Holding Company E-Wireligner Won Excellent Award at ‘MEDITEK Innovation Awards 2024’

E-Wireligner (CEO: Adjunct Professor Chun Yoon-sik of Graduate School of Clinical Dentistry), a subsidiary of Ewha Womans University’s technology holding company (CEO: Lee Jun-sung, Seo Ji-hee), won the Excellent Award in the treatment and surgical devices category at the 2024 MEDITEK Innovation Awards. E-Wireligner’s innovative orthodontic device technology, the AB-Plant technology, was highly recognized.
MEDITEK is a healthcare and medical device platform organized by the Korea Association of University Technology Transfer Management, Korea Association of Technology Holdings, and the National Research Foundation of Korea. It aims to enhance the business values of innovative technologies for entry and expansion into domestic and global markets. The Excellent Award E-Wireligner received is awarded to universities, hospitals, research institutes, startups, and companies that made innovative achievements in medical device and healthcare sector.
E-Wireligner, the first subsidiary of Ewha’s technology holding company, developed an ‘AB-Plant technology’ which presented a new paradigm in the orthodontic field. Orthodontic methods can be significantly improved through this technology while enhancing user convenience and treatment efficiency at the same time. E-Wireligner receiving the award reaffirmed its development capabilities and innovation, and is expected to continue contributing to the medical device and healthcare industry through ongoing technological advancements.
