From January 6th to January 19th, EGEP, a program designed to cultivate and inspire women talents working in public services and NGOs in Asia and Africa, was held at Ewha Womans University. For the 7th edition of EGEP, 25 women from 17 countries such as Bangladesh, India, and Afghanistan, were selected from a large pool of applicants and attended this program.

Additionally, EGEP conducted an open forum discussion, entitled “Voices from Asian Feminist Activism”, on January 9th and January 10th. Dr. Angela Miles, a professor at University of Toronto, and Dr. Sylvia Estrada-Claudio, a professor at University of Philippines, were invited as keynote speakers.

EGEP participants received leadership education focusing on women’s leadership and capacity building. They had chances to expand their network during this two-week elite program, which included an international forum, action plan, field experiences, and lectures. Since its inception in 2012, EGEP has remarkably produced 149 female activists from 37 countries.
