On December 3rd, Ewha held the special lecture series of "Innovation Ewha", which invited Ewha’s world-renowned scholars to introduce of their major fields and contribution to the public.
Professor Lyoo, In Kyoon of Ewha's College of Pharmacy and Neurocognitive Science gave the very first lecture which discussed the topic of ‘Ewha Reveals the Secret of the Brain: Neurocognitive Science and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.’ Professor Lyoo, one of the most prominent and esteemed authorities in neurocognitive science in Korea, explained how one's experience with traumatic events affected the brain.
Professor Yoon, Ju Young of Ewha’s department of Chemistry & Nano Science also delivered a lecture on ‘Ewha Makes the Dream Materials : Fluorescent Chemosensor and Realization of Theranostics’. He informed the audience about the history of fluorescent chemosensor research from many perspectives. Professor Yoon, the world-renowned authority of fluorescent chemosensor and molercular understanding, was listed as ‘One of the Most Expected Nobel Prize Nominees’ by Thomson Reuters in 2014.
The special lecture series of "Innovation Ewha" will soon expand to various areas such as Humanities, Social Science, Natural Science, Engineering, and Arts under the motto of "Academy Talks About the Future" to share the knowledge assets of Ewha and lead the innovation in college education.
