Ewha Signed MOU with Korea Creative Agency in the Startup Field

Ewha signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for mutual exchange with the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) with the aim to successfully foster a startup-friendly environment and a startup ecosystem. Through this agreement, the two organizations decided to cooperate for the development of content industry and programs that nurture creative and talented students.
Under the MOU, Ewha and KOCCA will engage in a wide range of activities. They will share and utilize programs to nurture creative people and provide support for business startups by co-developing and offering practical training courses related to the employment and creation of new enterprises. They will also strive to provide consultation and support for startup clubs at Ewha and startup enterprises for Ewha students, while working together in cooperation fields for the development of other content industries.
Ewha recently held the opening ceremony for its Business Incubator, a leading business platform that will support startups and aspiring entrepreneurs. The center operates programs for newly created companies, and provides facilities, meeting space, and managerial and technical support to facilitate successful enterprise. The center was established as a venue to nurture startup business enterprises specializing in cultural content as Ewha was selected as a recipient of the Business Incubator Construction Support Project, sponsored by the Small and Medium Business Administration, for which it received funding of 1.5 billion won in 2012.
