To primarily offer internships and recruitment opportunities to undergraduates and open joint classes for Research and Development

On April 17th (Wednesday) at Ewha’s Main Hall, Ewha’s College of Business Administration (Dean Kim Seongguk) and AMORE PACIFIC held a signing ceremony to agree to build a cooperative system for undergraduate career development and support women intelligence.

Through the signing of the MOU, the institutions committed to provide Ewha undergraduates with internships and on-site practice-based education opportunities, offer a one-year scholarship to students, open jobs to graduates each year, and create a class for industry research and development.

Additional cooperation will include support of AMORE PACIFIC women employees’ admission to the Ewha MBA program and scholarship opportunities, as well as development and operation of an in-company education program (non-degree).

The agreement was an initiative of the former dean of the College of Business Administration, Prof. Park Gyeonghui, and CEO adjunct professor Park Gwangsu (AMORE PACIFIC management consultant).  The collaboration has high potential for the entry of Ewha graduates in public affairs and the development of joint research projects, as AMORE PACIFIC is Korea’s leading cosmetic corporation and Ewha’s College of Business Administration is the cradle of women businesswomen.

Professor Kim Seongguk, Dean of the College of Business Administration, said “engaging in research and development with AMORE PACIFIC, a corporation known for their women-friendly environment and successful branding strategy, will open opportunities for students to advance their careers and offer a huge learning experience”.

Lee Yun, Vice President of Human Resources and Public Relations in AMORE PACIFIC, said “engaging in a joint collaboration with Ewha, a prestigious school with a long history and tradition, will be a stepping stone to discover more women leaders and promote their development”.

Ewha is currently developing diverse R&D programs with other major corporations such as Samjong KPMG and Citigroup, and is opening and operating courses to provide skills in specific industries.
