Ewha Student Counseling Center Received the 'Naraejit Award'
Ewha Student Counseling Center received the 'Naraejit Award' from the '2010 Winter Conference' hosted by the Council for Student Life Counseling Centers, a coalition of university student counselors nation-wide. The 'Naraejit Award' is given to the counseling centers that have successfully counseled for the student clients.
Ewha Student Counseling Center has run various programs not only for the students who have psychological problems but also who are interested in self development. As a result, individual counseling programs run by the center records seven thousand participants a year. In addition, aptitude tests and psychological tests are done fifty times for four times yearly and other counseling sessions are held for various groups such as freshmen. Mentoring programs such as 'Ewha Dawoori' and MBTI workshops are very popular among students as they have become widely known and recommended due to satisfactory programs.
"The center is positioning itself as an elder sister who listens and sympathizes with visitors. We are very glad to receive the award because it recognizes how the center has contributed in helping students cope with their difficulties and realize their potential", said professor Lee Hae-Young, the center director.
