Ewha Strengthens the 'Ewha in Beijing' Campus Network
President Lee Bae Yong visited universities in Beijing China from October 17 to 18, and universities in Jiangsu from October 26 to 28. Through these visits, Ewha strengthened the 'Ewha in Beijing' network and installed a milestone for expanding numbers of partner universities in China.
On October 17, Lee visited Peking University which is the focal point of 'Ewha in Beijing', to make agreements on increasing the number of exchange students and hosting more than ten students from Peking University in Ewha for 2010 international summer school. On October 18, President Lee gave a keynote speech at the 'International Women University President Symposium‘, which was held to commemorate 60th anniversary of Chinese Women's University. In addition, she visited the Ewha alumni in Beijing and many companies in China to strengthen networks of Ewha in China.
From October 26 to 28, she was invited to Nanjing University and Yangzhou University in Jiangsu province. Through this visit, Lee made an agreement on international exchange agreement with Nanjing University which was ranked 5th among universities in China in 2007. On October 27, she met the president of Yangzhou University and discussed launching various exchange programs including dual-degree program.
Ewha will continue to enlarge the Ewha Campus Network upto 20 major regions of the world.
