Historic Site Exploration with the President to the 500-Year History of Chosun Dynasty
President Lee Bae-Yong held another historic site exploration with students at SeoOReung on October 9.
President said, "We have to have high self-esteem in our own culture in order to equip ourselves with competency in the world of limitless competition. I hope students find insight and pride about our history as we look a closer look at SeoOReung Royal Tombs."
Suh Mi-Kyung(Statistics·05) said, "I registered for this program because I realized that I was neglecting the history of my own country while I know a lot about histories of Europe and Western countries. It was a priceless time learning about the fascinating stories hidden in our history of 500-year Chosun dynasty. Also, it gave me a chance to look back on our lives and think about how we should carry on our culture and wisdom." Ten international students registered to join this exciting exploration and awed at the scenery of Korean historic site.
The 'Historic Site Exploration with the President' is one of the programs of 'Ewha Renaissance Project', which was designed to nurture future leaders armed with cultural literacy and humanistic values. This program to SeoOReung is the third exploration to historic sites since the visit to Gyeongbokgung and Jongmyo of last year.
