The student participants evaluate 'Ewha-University of Minnesota Duluth(UMD) Student Exchange Program' very satisfactory. The 'Ewha-UMD Student Exchange Program' is a program of College of Education, providing undergraduate students with field experiences at American elementary, middle, and high schools. The 'Ewha-UMD Student Exchange Program' is one of Ewha's selective specialization projects on 'Research and Development on Teacher Education Program' and eight Ewha students are currently visiting UMD for four weeks from January 20th.

The students participants are science education, mathematics education, English education, geology education, and elementary education majors. As a part of the program, students are taking 'Teaching in America', a field education training class provided by UMD exclusively for Ewha students and attend lectures on 'education environments' and 'education methods'. In addition, the students will teach in actual classes at four elementary, middle, and high schools under the guidance of the American school teachers. The students will visit museums, science museums, and communities and experience diverse American culture and the actual education field as well.

It is a rare case for a domestic university to support students with such diverse actual education training and provide systematic education training classes abroad. Professor Ae-Ja Woo, in charge of leading students throughout the program said, "The people of UMD showed much interest and expectation toward this program and Ewha students. The students, too, were highly content with the UMD program." The College of Education is planning on expanding the program and developing additional programs like 'Ewha-UMD Student Exchange Program.'
