Ewha held Closing Ceremony for Ewha-Harvard Summer School Program

Ewha-Harvard Summer School co-hosted by Ewha Graduate School of International Studies and Harvard University, celebrated the completion of its five-week program with a closing ceremony at the LG convention hall on July 30th. ‘Documentary Film Festival’ was also presented along with the closing ceremony.

Nine Harvard students and fourteen Korean university (including Ewha) students participated in this year’s program under the theme of ‘Cinema Korea: Documenting Korean Society Through Film.’ Participants filmed current modern Korean society alongside their personal perspectives, based on content learned through their lectures and activities. Six documentaries reflecting their thoughts about Korea were, "Assiduous: Work to live or Live to Work?," "Motherland," "River Flows In You," "Marked Body," "The Singlesters," and "Happiness from the Seoul."

Ewha-Harvard Summer School is Korea’s only joint summer session program collaborated with Harvard University. The goal is to help their students cultivate global mind through the study of Korean history and culture. Since their beginning in 2006, the Ewha-Harvard Summer Program has taken place every year and it recently celebrated its 10th anniversary this year.
