The Open Forum of Ewha-Luce International Seminar for Women Graduate Students in the STEM disciplines was held from June 30th, 2015 to July 1st, 2015 at Ewha's campus.
The Open Forum was held in two parts; ‘Women in the History of Science’ on Day 1(6/30), and ‘Current Issues in Science’ and ‘Science of the Future’ on Day 2(7/1). The graduate students from MIT, Cornell, Georgia Tech, along with Ewha graduate students and graduate students of various Korean university who are majoring in the area of IT, nanotechnology, aviation, and convergence technology have participated in this forum and exchanged their opinions.
The Open Forum was a part of the "Ewha-Luce International Seminar : Expanding Horizons" hosted by Ewha in conjunction with the Henry Luce Foundation. Founded in 1936 by Henry R. Luce, co-founder and editor-in-chief of Time, Inc., the Luce Foundation seeks to be a catalyst for learning and leadership. The foundation chose Ewha as a partner in 2013 and agreed to support 1.5 million dollars to the program.
