2015 International Co-Ed Summer College opened on June 23rd, as a venue for young talented people around the world to gather and study Korea as a subject. Ewha founded the program in 1971, and the program now has been over 40 years of history and tradition.
The program consists of two sessions: Session I, open to students from the Americas and Europe, is held over the course of four weeks from mid-June to July. Session II, open to students from Asia, is held over the course of two weeks in August. Ewha Students can participate in Session I by registering for the regular summer session.
Participants of the sessions can choose from approximately 30 courses on various themes, such as but not limited to, Humanities, Sociology, Economics and Media. They are offered in English and Korean language classes with proficiency-based grouping. Additionally, various field trip opportunities will be given to the students every Friday to understand better of Korean culture. They include visiting Korean Folk Village and House of Sharing, making Kimchi, and watching Korean movies.
