A two-week educational program launched in 2012 by Ewha with the aim of nourishing women civil society activists, the EGEP has attracted 190 participants from 40 countries around the world. The 10th event was attended by 26 select individuals from 22 nations, including those in Africa and Asia.

The participants took part in a variety of educational activities, such as an international open forum, seminars, field research and action planning. In addition to the EGEP, Ewha has been operating other programs to promote education for women around the world, such as the Ewha Global Partnership Program (EGPP), under which full-tuition scholarships and living expenses are provided for a select group of talented women from developing countries, and the Ewha-KOICA Master's Program for women civil servants from Third World countries.
