Ewha Sarang Program for Fathers “Ewha Father’s Day: Walking with Dad along Ansan Jarak-gil”

Office of Student Affairs (Dean Seok Insun) held the event of Ewha Sarang Program for fathers “Ewha Father’s Day: Walking with Dad along Ansan Jarak-gil” at 9 a.m. on April 30th (Sat) on Ewha Campus where spring blossoms bloomed.
After the first event of Ewha Sarang Program for fathers “Ewha Father’s Day: Walking with Dad along Ansan Jarak-gil,” which was held in last May, ended in great success, this year’s event also drew a well-received response from students and their fathers and attracted 90 teams of participants with enrolled students and their fathers. In particular, some participated in the event for two consecutive years and some came from all across Korea including Ulsan, Cheongju, Gangwon-do and most outstandingly a father came all the way from Thailand.
As key faculty members of Ewha Womans University including President Choi Kyunghee and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Park Young Il participated in this event, participants warmed up through father-daughter pair exercises and then walked along Ansan Jarak-gil of about 4km, enjoying the scene of spring day. In the forest stage, a resting place located in the middle of Ansan, students and their fathers had sessions of playing a simple game and talking about what it was like to take part in this event.
Ewha Womans University, as of this year being its 130th anniversary, will continue to expand Ewha Sarang Program for parents by inviting the parents of its students into a variety of events such as concerts, exhibitions and special lectures.
