Dept. of Early Childhood Education Holds a Workshop to Develop a Training Course for Early Childhood Teachers in Cambodia

To help establish a training course for early childhood teachers in Cambodia, Ewha’s Early Childhood Education Department at the College of Education invited the faculty of Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) and held the “Ewha-RUPP workshop to develop a training course for early childhood teachers”.
During the workshop which ran from March 19th (Sunday) through 31th (Friday), the visitors from RUPP made academic exchanges with the professors of the Early Childhood Education department and got a glimpse of Korea’s advanced educational models by joining both undergraduate and graduate classes and visiting the Ewha Kindergarten and Ewha Institute of Childhood Education and Care, both of which are affiliated institutes of the College of Education. They were also invited to related organizations to explore the cooperation system between university and the local community.
As the nation’s first educational institution to produce early childhood teachers, Ewha’s Early Childhood Education department will provide continued support based on its academic and educational capabilities to help promote early childhood education in Cambodia and other developing countries as well.
