Ewha Womans University held the “2016 Ewha Christmas Chapel Service” in the Welch-Ryang Auditorium at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, December 1—the first day of the last month of this year—under the theme “Looking Forward to Christmas.” In the service hosted by the Office of the Chaplain (Rev. Yang Myung Su), Ewha students, staff and alumni gathered together to celebrate Christmas in advance and share joy.
The service was composed of: the reading of prayer poems; glorification by Rebecca and Maureen, international students studying at the university; hymn chorus of the amateur Ewha Chamber Choir; and special performance of the Ewha Orchestra.
The worship service was followed by a hearty session of writing Christmas cards for 10 foreign children sponsored by Compassion Korea, which the university has been supporting through the Ewha chapel service since 2009.
