Delegation led by Chancellor of UCI visited Ewha to make an agreement to enhance international exchanges

Chancellor Howard Gillman of University of California, Irvine (UCI) visited Ewha Womans University on June 23 (Fri.), accompanied by delegation including UCI’s Dean of Global Affairs Victoria Jones and Prof. Shin Hye-won, Director of Korea Relations, to promote international cooperation with Ewha.
UCI made an international exchange agreement with Ewha in 2013 for exchanges of their faculty and students as well as academic materials. Since then the two universities have maintained mutual cooperative relations. In 2015, UCI also entered into an agreement with Ewha College of Pharmacy to foster research cooperation and exchange students.
During this agreement ceremony, both sides discussed cooperation possibilities for research/academic exchanges, faculty/student exchanges, innovative research activities, and sustained educational programs. This agreement is expected to boost faculty/student exchanges and research cooperation between the two universities, thereby bringing substantial benefit to them.
