Seven teams from the “2019 Summer Ewha Global Frontier” program visited the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany to conduct overseas exploration activities during the school break.

The Office of Student Affairs (Dean Ok-kyoung Baek) has held the overseas exploration program “Ewha Global Frontier” with an aim to foster global female leaders with the spirit of challenge, driving force and problem-solving skills. During the school break, 28 students from seven teams, selected through a completion rate of 6.41:1, visited international organizations, public institutions, global enterprises, and universities located in eight countries to perform exploration activities.

Among the teams that took part in this summer program, “Igeul Egeul” and “Beyond the Limits of Counseling (BLC)” visited the US to study cases of writing education and student psychology counseling and seek ways to improve those activities. “Mugye Theater”, “Live with Vegan”, and “Palette” teams came up with proposals for service models and products for various classes, including the underprivileged, vegetarians, and female one-person household. In addition, the other two teams acquired useful information on a variety of topics and broadened their knowledge – “LAWCATION” explored ways to improve the public participation trial and emphasize the need for law education and “HECKer” conducted exploration on ways to commercialize electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles.

In order to enrich students’ experiences abroad and provide learning opportunities, Ewha operates a variety of unique global experience programs, including short-term programs such as the “PAGUS ARS overseas semester” program for students from departments of language and literature of The College of Liberal Arts, “Faculty-led Study Abroad Program”, and “Ewha Global Frontier” program as well as exchange and visiting student programs.
