Brendan M. Howe Professor

Brendan M. Howe 프로필 사진
Brendan Howe is an international theorist from England, trained at Oxford University (B.A./M.A. Modern History); the University of Kent at Canterbury (M.A. International Conflict Analysis); and the University of Dublin, Trinity College (Ph.D. Political Science). He joined GSIS in 2001 and lectures on international security, organizations and politics. Previous posts include Visiting Professor at Beijing Foreign Studies University, and lecturer at University Malaysia Sarawak. His research leave has taken him to University of Sydney (2007-2008) and to Freie Universit t Berlin (2014-2015). He has published extensively on human security, post-conflict development, and humanitarian intervention. He is Editor of the International Studies Review (ISR), President of the Korea International Studies Association (KISA), Director of the Asian Political and International Studies Association (APISA), Honorary Envoy for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), and Member of the International Institute for Security Studies (IISS). He previously served as Department Chair and Associate Director of the Institute for Development and Human Security (IDHS).
