Dr. Jungyoon Kim is professor of the Ewha Brain Institute and an affiliate professor at the Scranton College in Brain & Cognitive Sciences and College of Medicine at Ewha Womans University. She received an M.D. and a Ph.D. from Seoul National University College of Medicine. After completing the internship, residency, and fellowship program at Seoul National University Hospital, Dr. Kim served as a specialist in the National Rehabilitation Center and a clinical assistant professor at Dankook University Hospital. She also contributed as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Utah Brain Institute. Her research has focused on identifying brain resilience and mechanisms, while, in her research, she seeks to elucidate cognitive function using noninvasive brain stimulation methods such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation(TMS) and Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation(tDCS) as well as brain network analysis through the state-of-art structural and functional brain imaging techniques and deep learning. A recognized researcher in brain sciences and neuroimaging, Dr. Kim has published more than 50 papers on prominent international academic journals including Nature Communications.
