Youngju Cho Associate Professor

Department of Interpreting & Translation

Professor Cho Young-Ju is at Translation Department of the Graduate School of Translation and Interpretation. Her professional fields are the translation and Interpretation from Korean into Japanese and from Japanese into Korean. She graduated from Yonsei University. She earned her Master’s degree at the Graduate School of Interpretation and Translation of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and completed doctoral course at the Graduate School of International Studies of Hanyang University. She did broadcasting interpretation of KBS news at NHK’s Seoul Bureau from year 1990 to 2011. She has performed more than 1,500 interpretation at international conferences. She has produced two Japanese versions: a book『Panmunjeom』written by Wayne A. Kirkbride (Hollym, 2012) and a literary work『The place and The memory, a Pictorial Record of Permanent Exhibition』(Seoul Museum of History, 2013). She has produced one Korean version of a literary work『Folkcraft·The mind·The people written by Yanagi Muneyosi』(Culturebooks, 2014).
