Hyesook Jeon Professor
Department of Content Convergence/Posthuman Studies
Jeon, Hye-sook is a professor in the Department of Content Convergence/Western Painting/Post-Human Convergence Department. She served as president and editor-in-chief of the Contemporary Art History Society and Art History Research Society. She is the author of <Art of the Anthropocene: Changes in Ecology, Life, and Body> (Sunin, 2021), <Art in the Posthuman Era, Body Transformation Art and Bioart> (Akanet, 2015), <Art at the End of the 20th Century, Everyday Space and Media Reconstruction of Art> (Book Korea, 2013), “Ecosystem Embodied from the Technology of Artificial Life: Focusing on the Artificial Nature of Haru Ji and Graham Wakefield,” “A Border between Utopia and Dystopia: Bioart and Its Intervention in Life,” “Skin where boundaries Crumbling,” and “A New Approach to Life: Microbiome-Bioart”. She is doing research the contemporary arts related to post-humanism: body transformation art, bio art, and ecological art.
