11 Students from Ewha Womans University Passing the 31st Certified Public Labor Attorney Qualification Examination

A total of 11 students from Ewha Womans University passed the 31st Certified Public Labor Attorney Qualification Examination held in 2022.

The Certified Public Labor Attorney Qualification Examination is one of the eight major professional qualification exams conducted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor to select experts in the labor law field, and recently recorded a high competition rate after accountants and tax accountants as labor issues, such as wage peak system, 52-hour workweek, and the Serious Accident Punishment Act (SAPA), have emerged as social issues.


A total of 8,261 people, the largest number ever, applied for the 31st Certified Public Labor Attorney Qualification Examination, and 551 people finally passed the first multiple-choice test, second essay test, and oral interview for the last stage. Among the successful applicants, 380 of them were in their 20s, and 376 of them were women, accounting for 68.2%. The final successful candidate will start work after receiving training organized by the Korea Certified Public Labor Attorneys Association.


Among them are successful applicants from Ewha Womans University, 11 in total: Kim Da-won (social studies, class of 2013), Kang Ra-yeon (international affairs, the class of 2021), Kang Eun-sol (industrial design, the class of 2021), Kim Mi-rae (Business, the class of 2014), Park Chae-nui (English Lang & Lit, the class of 2020), Sung Ye-ji (Business, the class of 2014), Song Na-ri (administrative studies, the class of 2015), Shin Eun-jin (Korean Lang & Lit, the class of 2019), Yoon Go-eun (psychology, the class of 2020), Jung Ju-seon (Chinese literature, the class of 2018), and Choi Eun-ji (Korean Lang & Lit, the class of 2019). Having a record-high 11 successful applicants this year for the Certified Public Labor Attorney Qualification Examination, followed by 9 successful applicants in 2020 and 2021, Ewha is proving its value by standing out in professional fields.


Certified public labor attorney qualification system was introduced as experts who lead the smooth operation of business or business labor affairs and improvement of autonomous human resource management by providing professional knowledge and experience in labor-related laws and labor management and recently drawing attention as labor issues, such as wage peak system, 52-hour workweek, and the Serious Accident Punishment Act (SAPA), are emerging as social issues.


Shin Eun-jin mentioned, "Through my working experience in corporates, I recognized the importance of human resource management and started to prepare for the test for labor attorney, who provides legal advice in the field of human labor. If you are preparing for new dreams while working, don't set your own limits and bravely follow your dreams." Song Na-ri said, "As a certified labor attorney from Ewha Womans University, I want to work hard to improve the discriminatory treatment women receive in the labor market and build a healthy working environment."
