The College of Nursing atEwha Womans University(Dean Park Hyojung) held the2025 Nursing Medal Ceremonyon February 20 (Fri) at ECC Lee Sam-bong Hall. Approximately 200 people—including Seungeun Jung, President of the College of Nursing Alumni Association, faculty members, parents, and others—attended the ceremony to celebrate the 68th graduating class as they take their first steps as professional nurses.The Nursing Medal Ceremony is an occasion where fourth-year students about to graduate reaffirm their calling as nurses by pledging theNightingale Pledge, vowing love and dedication to their patients.
The ceremony, hosted by Associate Dean Kim Geonhui, began with opening remarks by Dean Park Hyojung and a congratulatory address by Seungeun Jung, President of the College of Nursing Alumni Association. The program continued with an academic report, the presentation of nursing medals, the Nightingale Pledge, and the presentation of awards.
Dean Park Hyojung stated, “I sincerely congratulate the members of the 68th graduating class for faithfully completing four years of study at the College of Nursing of Ewha Womans University, the first and foremost nursing education institution in Korea.” She added, “As the next leaders carrying on the tradition and honor of Ewha Nursing, I hope you will continue learning and developing yourselves in various nursing fields even after graduation.” She further expressed her hopes that the graduates would grow into nursing leaders equipped with both professional expertise and ethical awareness and contribute to the advancement of healthcare in Korea and around the world.
Following the remarks, faculty members of the College of Nursing personally presented nursing medals to the students, congratulating them on their achievements and encouraging them as they embark on their professional careers.
