Ewha Womans University Holdings Company Signs MOUs with TWV and Busan United Holdings Company N

Ewha Womans UniversityHoldings Company (Co-CEOs Seo Jihui and Cho Wolryeom) has signed memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with global accelerator investment firmTWV Co., Ltd.(CEO Kim Kyungsoon) andBusan United Holdings Company for Technology Commercialization Co., Ltd.(CEO Park Hungi) to expand cooperation in discovering and investing in startup companies.


Ewha Womans University Holdings Company signed an MOU with TWV on February 26 and subsequently with Busan United Holdings Company for Technology Commercialization on March 5, establishing a cooperative framework to discover promising startups and support investment and growth.

First, Ewha Womans University Holdings Company and TWV agreed to collaborate in building a sustainable startup ecosystem and jointly discovering and nurturing promising startup companies. The two organizations plan to pursue cooperation in various areas, including △ discovering, investing in, and fostering promising startups and venture companies △ forming individual and venture investment funds △ linking with the TIPS and LIPS programs △ and building a regional startup ecosystem. In particular, through the formation of funds (investment associations) and connections with the TIPS and LIPS programs, practical investment and research and development (R&D) support for the scale-up of early-stage startups is expected to be provided.이화여대 기술지주회사-부산연합기술지주와 업무협약 체결

On March 5, Ewha Womans University Holdings Company also signed an agreement with Busan United Holdings Company for Technology Commercialization, strengthening cooperation in discovering and investing in startups based on university technology commercialization. The two institutions plan to focus their collaboration on △ discovering, investing in, and nurturing promising startups and venture companies △ forming individual and venture investment funds △ linking with the TIPS program △ and participating in projects led by local governments. Through this cooperation, the institutions expect to establish a collaborative foundation that supports the entire process—from the discovery of university technology-based startups to investment and growth support—while further expanding a startup investment network connecting universities and regional communities.


Seo Jihui, Co-CEO of Ewha Womans University Holdings Company, stated, “Cooperation with TWV and Busan United Holdings Company for Technology Commercialization will serve as an opportunity to further expand the growth potential of university technology-based startup companies.” She added, “We will continue to broaden our partnerships with various investment and startup support institutions to actively support the discovery and growth of promising startups.”
