Professor Hee-dong Yang at the Department of Business Administration in the College of Business Administration became the 70th president-elect of the Korean Academic Society of Business Administration (KASBA) with 56.53% of votes for him. As a president, He will focus on strengthening the competence of regional ecosystems in local councils, companies, and universities, as well as the central and local governments under the theme of Super Gap ecosystem management while he serves as a president of the KASBA from March 1st, 2025 to February 28th, 2026.
He studied business administration for his bachelor's and master’s degrees at Seoul National University before receiving his doctorate in management information at Case Western Reserve University. He joined the faculty of Ewha Womans University in 2000 and served as a dean of Ewha Graduate School of Business. He also served as the president of the Knowledge Management Society of Korea and the Korea Society Of Management Information Systems.
The KASBA is one of the largest Korean academic societies of business administration. Founded in 1956, the society aims to make contributions to the development of business administration as an academic field in Korea and the growth of the national economy and companies. The KASBA has around 9,500 members.
