[Notice] 2021-2 International Student Scholarship Application


Undergraduates or students of The Graduate School (“일반대학원”) interested in applying for the Fall 2021 International Student Scholarship (ISS) should refer to the details below. 


 Recipients of the ISS M (Merit-based) scholarship for undergraduate students are selected automatically based on their academic performance (GPA), and no separate application is needed.

 The ISS M scholarship has been offered to undergraduate students having been admitted through the special admissions process for international applicants("외국인특별전형") from the Fall 2016 semester. 


1. How to Apply

- Submit application online via the link provided (Link). 


2. Application Period

- 2021. 7. 12.(Mon) ~ 2021. 7. 30.(Fri)


3. Scholarship Results

- Results will be announced in 2021. 8. 18.(Wed)

- The results will be sent to the recipients’ individual “@ewhain.net” email accounts. Students who fail to reply to the notification email be considered as having forfeited the scholarship.

Role: ONLINE AMBASSADOR (upload photos or short videos)

①     International undergraduate or graduate students, fully enrolled, having completed at least 10 credits (undergraduate) or 6 credits (graduate), earned a minimum 2.0 GPA (out of 4.3) in the previous semester, and participated in volunteer activities related to international exchange Students with TOPIK level 4 or above (exception: Division of International Studies)

②     Students who meet the ISS V common requirements

③     Students with TOPIK level 4 or above (Exception: Division of International Studies)

④     Students able to edit videos will be given additional points (Students who apply for ‘Video Type’ must have video editing skills.)

Role: WORK AS STUDENT ASSISTANT AT ISAT OFFICE

①     International undergraduate or graduate students, fully enrolled, having completed at least 10 credits (undergraduate) or 6 credits (graduate), earned a minimum 2.0 GPA (out of 4.3) in the previous semester, and participated in volunteer activities related to international exchange Students with TOPIK level 4 or above (exception: Division of International Studies)

④     Executives of official student groups will be given additional points

* What is an Online Ambassador? Online Ambassadors are students who assist with promoting Ewha Womans University to current and prospective students by uploading photos or videos on SNS platforms. Online ambassadors will be asked to share information such as tips on using university facilities, places to eat around campus, etc. ISAT will select online ambassadors from those who apply for the ISS V scholarship.


5. ISS V Common Requirements

- Students expecting to register for the Fall 2021 semester

- Students who have health insurance coverage in Korea during Fall 2021

· The most recent insurance information must be updated in Eureka via ISAT.

· The dates of coverage must be throughout the entire semester of receiving the scholarship.

· Students who have purchased insurance individually must submit a copy of their health insurance certificate to the ISAT office. 

· Students who do not have sufficient health insurance will be automatically excluded from the scholarship selection process.

- Students with updated bank account information in their Eureka portal account.

· Students must input their bank account information via Eureka → Academic Affairs → Student Information → My Bank Account.

· Students who do not have their bank account information input in Eureka will be automatically excluded from the scholarship selection process.


6. Duration and Payment

- Payment will be made at the end of December 2021 or during February 2022 (subject to change)

- Payment will be directly deposited to student’s Korean bank account

  • ISS V scholarship recipients may receive other scholarships as long as the accumulated amount of the scholarships does not exceed the full tuition amount.

  • Duration of ISS V scholarships: One semester


7. Notes

- Students selected for the V3 scholarship will be expected to work as a student assistant at the ISAT office for 60 hours.

- Work schedules will be fixed at the beginning of the semester and may not be changed. Students who fail to follow the arranged schedule or ask for a change of schedule after the schedule has been set may lose their scholarship during the Fall 2021 semester.
