Professor Eunah(Una) Hong is is a faculty member in the Division of Kinesiology & Sport Studies at the College of Industrial Convergence, specialising in Sport Management and Policy. She is a dedicated scholar committed to advancing and disseminating the value of sport through various avenues.

Professor Hong is actively involved in academic activities with several scholarly organisations and journals, including the Korean Association of Sport Industry and Management, the Korean Association of Sport Policy, the Korean Society of Women in Sport, the Korean Society for Sport Media, Journal of Global Sport Management, and Cogent Social Sciences.

In 2003, she became the youngest FIFA international referee in Korea. Her distinguished officiating career includes serving as the referee at the Olympic Games (Beijing 2008 Semi-final, London 2012), the Asian Games (Doha 2006 Semi-final, Guangzhou 2010), and the 2010 FA Women’s Cup Final in England.

She has held key leadership roles such as Vice President of the Korea Football Association, Member of the AFC Referees Committee, Member of the Organising Committee for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, and Member of the International and Women’s Sport Committees at the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee. Currently, she serves as a FIFA Referee Technical Instructor, Member of the AFC Women’s Football Committee, AFC Instructor and Assessor, and Member of the K League Disciplinary Committee.

Her accolades include the Ewha Womans University Award for Excellence in English-Medium Instruction(2019–2), the 2022 Study UK Alumni Awards (Global Winner, British Council), and the 2009 AFC Referee of the Year award.
