신수진 교수는 간호대학의 성인간호학 전공 교수이며, 주요연구분야는 간호대학생과 신규간호사의 실무능력 및 적응 향상을 위한 간호교육전략 및 평가이다. 간호사 국가시험 및 간호교육인증평가 분야의 간호교육전문가로서 한국보건의료인국가시험원과 한국간호교육평가원에서 활동하였다. 신규간호사 이직률 감소 및 간호업무환경 개선을 위한 다수의 정책연구를 진행해왔으며 보건복지부 전문위원회 활동을 통해 간호 및 보건의료관련 정책의사결정과정에 참여하고 있다. 또한 2021년과 2024년에 미국 스탠퍼드대학교와 엘스비어(Elsevier)가 공동으로 발표하는 『Top 2% Scientists List(전 세계 상위 2% 연구자 리스트)』에 선정되었다. 최근에는 생성형 AI와 CAFA 시스템을 활용한 형성평가 시스템 구축 연구를 활발히 진행하고 있다.
