안소미 교수는 2019년 미국 Texas A&M University에서 「Age, Degeneration, and Regeneration in Fin-de-Siecle British Fiction」으로 박사학위를 취득하였다. 전공 분야는 19세기 영국소설이며, 여성문학과 디지털 인문학에도 관심을 두고 있다. 주요 논문으로는 「The Metropolis and Female Citizenship in Mary Wollstonecraft's Original Stories from Real Life」(2018), 「Old Age and Euthanasia in Anthony Trollope's The Fixed Period」(2019), 「The Wicked Stepmother and the Paradox of Motherhood in George Egerton's "Wedlock"」(2026) 등을 꼽을 수 있다.
