이경진 교수는 이화여자대학교 문헌정보학과 조교수이다. 이화여자대학교 문헌정보학과에서 학사학위를 2014년에 취득한 후 시애틀에 있는 University of Washington 에서 석사와 박사를 2021년에 마쳤다. 워싱턴 대학교에서 박사학위로 있는 동안에 Amazon, Microsoft, Facebook와 같은 다양한 산업계와 함께 학생 연구자로 연구한 이력을 가지고 있다. 주요 연구 분야는 인간과 컴퓨터 상호작용 (HCI)에서 어떻게 하면 새로운 디지털 제품과 서비스를 사람들이 더 친숙하게 사용할 수 있는지 Participatory Design (PD)이라는 방법론 통해 연구한다. 지금까지 VR, AR 와 AI를 이용한 스마스트 보이스 시스템 관련해서 다수의 논문을 썼다. HCI에서 권위있는 국제학술대회인 ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI) 에서 2020년 Best Paper Award를 수상하였다. 향후 Participatory Design이라는 방법론을 통해 어떻게 하면 다양한 이해관계를 가진 사람들이 함께 코디자인 할 수 있는 환경을 더 마련할 수 있을지에 관한 연구를 이어갈 예정이다.
