Professor Taehoon Shin obtained interdisciplinary academic background and research experience through undergraduate study in mechanical engineering, PhD research in electrical engineering and faculty career in radiology department at University of Maryland. Professor Shin’s research focus has been deep learning based diagnosis of human diseases, prediction of clinical outcomes and medical image reconstruction as well as development of the state-of-the-art MRI techniques.
