At the "2022 Industry-Academic Cooperation Student Start-up Festival," held by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Research Foundation to discover and foster entrepreneurial talent, three teams from Ewha Womans University won the best award, excellence award, and encouragement award.

The "2022 Industry-Academic Cooperation Student Start-up Festival" is a royal battle to determine the promising start-up team among the winners of the "2022 Student Start-up Team 300,” which is the national start-up competition. A total of eight teams and 13 students were finally selected for the 2021 Student Start-up Team 300, and this year, Ewha students’ start-up teams won three awards in four categories of the Start-up Leap Track. This is the result of the start-up support group, which is a control tower for start-up support at Ewha Womans University, expanding industry-academic cooperation and start-up infrastructure to support Ewha-type industry-academic cooperative start-ups.

The "MediPlus" team, consisting of Jung Ji-hee, Woo Hyun-jung, and Kim Min-joo from the Graduate School of Industrial Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ewha Womans University, won the best start-up leap track award for "FiCRO," a curation platform that quickly finds and matches clinical trial trust institutions for ventures preparing for clinical trials. Mediaplus, a startup specializing in clinical trial information, collects, processes, and analyzes clinical trial data using AI and big data technology to provide optimal information necessary for the clinical trial preparation process, and is recognized for its potential value, innovative technology, and business feasibility.

The "Voice Match" team, which includes Kim Joo-hee from the Department of Cyber Security at ELTEC College of Engineering and Soohyun Lee from the Department of Human-bio-medical-engineering, won the Excellence Award for participating in the voice tuning web platform "Online Automatic Voice Photoshop.” Voice Match is an online service platform that tunes the use of conjunctions and surveys, emphasis on speech, speed, rest, and intonation in real-time with a voice with high customer preference and payment. Based on the fact that the participants value the voice of the instructor, they are focusing on education fields such as universities and Internet lecture companies.

The "GDD" team, consisting of Ham Cho-rom from the Department of Computer Engineering at ELTEC College of Engineering and Jin Ye-eun from the Design Division of the College of Art & Design won the encouragement award for the "Customized Sale" application service that provides personalized housing sales information. In addition, Ewha student teams such as "Cologen" (Kim Yeon-woo from the Department of Educational Engineering) and "S4&A1" (Cho Min from the Department of Library & Information Science) were selected for the "2022 Student Start-up Training Team".

The Entrepreneur Center held the "2022 Student Start-up Team 300 Certificate Award” and “Industry-Academic Cooperation EXPO Student Start-up Festival Award" at the Ewha conference room on December 5 (Monday) to encourage the Ewha start-up team's performance and encourage the Ewha students’ start-up activities. The event was attended by Lee Hyang-sook, Director of the Industrial-Academic Cooperation Group and Entrepreneurship Center, Jeon Sang-beom, Vice Chairman of the Industrial-Academic Cooperation Group, Lee Hyung-joon, Vice Director of Entrepreneurship Center, and Professor Joo Chang-rim of Entrepreneurship Center. After the awards ceremony, opinions on start-up programs and support were shared through a meeting.

While focusing on strengthening students' career support under the vision of a "creative and innovative platform leading a sustainable society," Ewha Womans University is fully supporting students' ideas and technologies to lead to start-ups.
