Professor Jeong Sun-dul of the Department of Social Welfare Appointed as Chairman of the Korean Gerontological Society

Professor Jeong Sun-dul of the Department of Social Welfare was appointed as the 33rd president of the Korean Gerontologic Society. Founded in 1978, the Korean Gerontological Society is the largest gerontological society in social welfare and health a and publishes a paper on Korean gerontological studies.
Professor Jeong Sun-dul said, "In Korean society, which is about to enter a super-aged society, gerontology scholars are highly responsible. We will prepare policy alternatives for the future society's old age life, expand opportunities for various majors, new scholars, and field researchers at home and abroad, and create an academic society meeting with the field."
Jeong Sun-dul, the new chairman, is an authority on senior welfare and case management, and has served as chairman of the Korean Academy of Family Social Work, director of Ewha Womans University's Graduate School of Social Welfare, director of soci welfare, and director of the Ewha Institute for Age Integration Research. The term of office of the president of the Korean Gerontological Society is two years until 2024.
