Professor Min Kyeong Kim of the Department of Elementary Education Elected as the President of The Korea Society of Educ

Professor Min Kyeong Kim of the Department of Elementary Education was elected as the 11th president of The Korea Society of Educational Studies in Mathematics (KSESM) at the 58th Research Paper Presentation Contest of KSESM held on May 28 (Sat). The term of office is two years.


Founded in 1991, KSESM is a representative academic society for mathematical education that publishes two KCI-listed academic journals, The Journal of Education Research in Mathematics and School Mathematics, where contributes to the development of mathematical education in Korea through the research on theory and practice of mathematics and sharing the findings.


Professor Min Kyeong Kim earned a doctorate from Iowa State University in the U.S. and has been conducting research on various themes including math education, creative problem solving, and unstructured problem solving. Professor Kim is taking the lead in fostering creative mathematical education and expanding mathematical culture by systemically connecting the field of research and teachers at the chalkface.
