Jiyoung Kang Professor

Professor Jiyoung Kang is a professor at the Department of Communication & Media and studies the fields of virtual reality, augmented reality and metaverse content. She received a bachelor's degree from Pratt Institute in New York, a master's degree from New York University, and a doctorate from KAIST. Prior to her appointment at Ewha Women's University, she was a tenure professor at Dankook University.
She produced the "Bloodless" VR documentary film, won the Best VR Story Award at the Venice International Film Festival, and directed and produced a number of other VR films, achieving good results at the International Film Festival. In addition, recently, VR and AR exhibition contents such as Nam June Paik Art Center and Chang Ucchin Museum of Art were developed and commercialized. She is teaching the fields of virtual reality, augmented reality, and metaverse content in the Department of Communication&Media.
